Mathew,
Don't worry. All SAABS are 50-state vehicles, meaning every SAAB is originally equipped to pass the more stringent CA emissions test as long as you did not remove any smog equipment. The car must pass a visual inspection regarding smog equipment removal, including the presence of the catalytic converter. Also, any modifications or speed parts not carrying a CARB exemption number are not allowed as well.
If everything is intact, just make sure your car is tuned up and everything is working properly. Be sure your car is fully warmed up to operating temp before starting the test.
Go ahead and drive your car across country. Beats shipping it anyday.
Good luck.
JD
