Hi again,

I've looked and occasionally sought info on the ABS brake system on the C900's. There doesn't appear to be much data available out there or maybe not allowed to be released .......whatever the reason, I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to know more.
Anyway, the Valve block assy, does anyone know of or seen a mechanical layout on paper of the assembly? Is there a rebuild kit for the assy?
Regarding the Master cyl, over here one can obtain the WHOLE Master Cylinder, EVERYTHING attached to it, for approx $500.00 US.
SAAB seem to take the approach that it better to change the assy complete rather than change sections of it so as to keep the safety margin tight.
In other words, one can change the accumulator, fine, but then the pump, which is aging, has to pump and fight the pressure of the fresh accumulator. Then the pump needs changing and so on.... And what about the cylinder.......
Like the U.S., the price of the parts seperately come to something like, $6000.00.
So I took the option and purchased the assy complete. I've seen and noted that various SAAB mechanics state that they have rarely or never changed a master cyl. which is very encouraging in keeping faith with the car.
(It was a different story when I had the '86, doing 45mph and applying the brake....., the brake pedal went to the floor faster than the clutch pedal ever could. A great experience to say the least!)
One final question, does anyone now of any known probs with ABS ECU?
Are they dealt with through an exchange program or otherwise?
