a band adjustment might help.there are two,but i think you can only get to one from the outside,the other needs to be adjusted from within the trans.it could also be the primary chains that are worn out but they make a loud clunk when there worn.the clutch discs can do that too when there worn out,you may need a rebuild or convert to a standard 5 speed.
