Hello, Look for maintenance and repair history. If you don't feel confident about evalating a used Saab , find a good Saab independent garage and pay for a pre purchase inpection. Post your location and someone will suggest a good mechanic. Don't be afraid of losing the car , these cars can be expensive to repair. Generally I would let the car get up to operating temp. and see if the fans come on , check the coolant resevoir for clean coolant without any bubbles or signs of contamination and that the temp guage is in the mid range. See that the transmision shifts well in all gears and ask the seller if it ever pops out of gear. Don't be afraid to give it a good workout and make sure the turbo boosts well. Check out the brakes including emergency and look for any fluid leaks. Check to see if the warning lights come on and go off. The ABS light will remain on slightly longer until the system is pressurized. Again , if there is a history go over it carefully and decide if you feel the car has been maintained well. Attention to maintenance and upkeep is the key to having a good C900. Post again after you look at car with any questions. Do a search on this board on "buying a used 900 or pre purchase inspections". Also take a look in the Saabnet classifieds under C900's for comparison. good luck, bj
