Heater valve leak will be coolant not plain water...coolant feels greasy.
If not coolant, I would suspect a door jamb seal, a firewall grommet, or a windshield gasket leak. While a sunroof drain clog can soak the floor, normally you get a wet rear floor, since the rear drain is more clog prone.
Chck the sunroof drains with a beaker of water and pour into the side channel. Water should drain freely out the front and rear drains. Front drains exit in wheelwell and rear drains exit behind body side louvered covers. Clean out with air or carefully with a wire. Front drains from top, rear drains from below, behind side panels. It's good to do this annually.
The only way to check other leaks is to pull back the carpet from the firewall and test with a garden hose. People have chased leaks from odd places. I have one now, but am waiting for some warmer weather to track it down. I'm suspecting door seals.
