I'd be concerned about that disconnected wire near the alternator. Being black, it is probably a ground wire, and more than likely was connected to the alternator. There's a group of ground connections at that point. The wiring connectors are known to disconnect from the wires themselves with time and vibration. Replacing the oil filter often jostles those connections loose. I can't say if that is the cause of your start problems, but that's not a good thing to have a ground wire disconnected.
