get the good used parts myself and find a small quality paint/body shop willing to do a non-insurance job. I did all the R&R of all the small time consuming parts and pieces. I paid the experts to do the metal and paint work. Figuring my time at $25/hour, [ 5 years ago ], we came out with about $150 left over, and painted all but the roof of the 3-door because of difficulty in matching Rose Quartz. When finished the car looked almost new. Car now has a 'reconstructed' title [ Oregon ], but I took many photos throughout the process to show that the damage was actually minor, and the repairs of first quality. I knew it to be an extremely good car, and my now 'ex' is still driving it and approaching 190K. She will have a real hard time giving up the car if that day does finally come. [ '86 900T 3-door, Rose quartz w/ maroon cloth ] It was hit at about 90 degrees on the right front bumper corner, pushing the bumper over about a foot and pushing in the fender, denting the hood, and destroying the RF bumper mounting arm and bumper. It still drove fine but had a significant leak in the radiator.
