CD Changer in PRE-1994 900 convertible Posted by Don [Email] (#1099) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Don) on Tue, 15 Jun 2004 05:52:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Ive read all the posts about where/how to find the wiring harness in the 1994 and later 900's BUT I have seen no posts regarding the installation of the CD Changer in a PRE-1994 900. I have a 1993 900 Convertible and can't seem to figure out how to install a Clarion CD Changer. The wiring harness for the cd changer is apparently not pre-installed as in the later 900's. My car has the stock radio and separate CD (single disc) player installed as original equipment. I bought a used (from ebay) clarion CD Changer that was previously installed in a 900. The radio and cd player have modular type contacts that connect when the radio and cd player are slid into their respective slots. In my old (1986) 900 the radio had pigtail cables that hung out behind the radio that could be used to install a cd changer. My questions is: How do I go about installing a cd changer in my 900 when there is no pre-installed wiring harness? I obviously need a cable of some sort but how does that cable connect to the radio or cd player thats already installed in the car? Where can I get that cable?
All suggestions much appreciated.
