I've got a 93 900TC. I spent 2 nights looking for the ECU under the glove box. I took down the floor duct and just could not find it. I finally looked under the back seat and found it attached to the anti-theft bracket. It's the same Saab part # as the central locking ECU so it's got to be it, right? Is it possible that there's one under the back seat AND one under the glove box? Why would there be 2 of them?
Anyway, I've been doing more tests. I took out the central locking switch in the console and ran continuity tests and it's fine (pins 1,2 & 3 alternate continuity depending on the switch position). But, pins 1,2 & 3 have no continuity at the ECU, no matter what I do on the switch. These are the pins that tell the ECU to pulse the power at pin 7, right? Could I have a bad connection between the console switch and the ECU?
Even so, shouldn't the doors/trunk lock when I connect pins 4 & 7 at the ECU? They all worked last week - I doubt that all 3 motors went bad at the same time. Is this a bad assumption?
