story is this:
i've got two heads (ha ha).
One, off an 86 SPG, is Saab pn 935824. the valves are flush with the combustion chamber surface, and the chamber margin 'cuts in' if you will on each side.
the other, off an 86 Notchback 900S, is pn 752170. the head had a total valve job, cleaning, etc. the valves sit very high as compared to the surface of the combustion chamber, and the 'cut-in' is only on the Timing Chain side of the chamber. other side is flat or straight.
I'm wondering if these heads and valves can be interchanged? and are the pns correct for the model or year of car? and i wonder why the valves are at different heights in relation to the chamber? something to do with the piston shape?
thanks in advance,
Wayne
