1. How do you guys drain the coolant without leaving a mess everywhere? I unscrewed the radiator plug next to the battery and took off reservoir cap. I had a bucket underneath the plug but the coolant still ran all around the underbody and dripping everywhere.
2. Where is the heck is thermostat bleeder valve? I look at the Bentley and it shows a diagram of the thermostat housing but can't seem to find thermostat housing.
I found a screw(about 11mm) sticking straight up with a hole on top right exactly next to where the upper radiator hose ends on the engine side. Bentley says to unscrew it while filling up with coolant and screw it back when coolant starts coming out. Well, I unscrewed it and topped off with coolant, but no coolant ever came out of this screw. Is this not the bleeder valve?
3. I picked up a Thermo Fan Switch at a foreign parts store and they gave me one with the correct saab part number (4086708) on the box but the switch was made in Italy and said Alpha Romeo 60549313.
think it's ok? Well, I'm going to install anyway because the stores are closed.
Thanks to anyone who can help answer the questions above. Have a great weekend.
