knee bolster - removal?

I'd like to remove the knee bolster on my 88 900 to look at the heater core and valve. I believe there are 2-3 screws that I need to remove, but in the past I've never been able to find and remove them all. Would appreciate advice/pictures of said screws. Is it just those 3 screws and then the thing pulls out?
I've replaced the transmission, but interior work always seems like the hardest thing.
