Too big battery question . . . 92' T Posted by devin [Email] (#2469) [Profile/Gallery] (more from devin) on Fri, 15 Oct 2004 08:07:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just put a big Diehard Gold battery in my Turbo. I think it's a group 25. I got stranded for the third time in a week, made it to Sears, and then they didn't have ANY group 26's except for the econo-ones. I'm in the one town on earth that doesn't have a Walmart! This is a good thing most of the time, but not when you need a car battery.
The heatshield is now pushed against the Turbo elbow. There is no clearance but it's bolted down tight. Is this a problem in terms of heat or if the engine twists because of play in the motor mounts? It's also right up against the inside of the fender and just below the AC lines.
The good news is the car is starting now despite the fuel problems of the last month.
Thanks for the help,
Devin
