Power window ad nauseam (sic)

I work full time and go to school part time, so time is not something I have in abundance. For well over a year, I have had to tape up my 86 T hatch driver's window after it died. It stopped in a down position and I had to undo the trim and remove the window screws. I pulled up the window and have used clear tape to hold it up. Long story short, I am 99% sure that the wire harness is corroded/gone; my ac/heat work just fine, so having the window up "permanently" is okay. Is there a way to get the window up without applying power to the harness or how do I apply power to it if need be (the car was "totalled" before it was given to me)?
