RU you getting water in the spare tire area? The dump for your roof runs back to the left and right air outlet covers. Blowing the tubes is good preventive maint., but it sounds like your door seals are worn. This is also associated with the rear window.

Reseat the door seal- pull off the molding on the chasis and relay. Look for obvious problems on the door jam. Clean seals.

The rear window is silimar- start by cleaning the seal and the window frame. Reseat too.

If this does not work, then it is likely that water is making it's way around the seal on the back side (read- the inside "V" side that should be pretty tight, but is know to give over time). Which is sounds a lot like your "prolonged" condition.

Best luck- I just spent many hours and gallons fixing my own mystery leak.
