I dont know what happened. I thought it was possible to roll a car without axles in no? I had rebuilt the hubs and put in new bearings and everything on a 900 im building myself. I dont have the axles yet, putting rebuilt ones on, but I had to move the car out of the garage temporaily. So i put on the hubs. tightened the lower ball joints but didnt tighten the upper ones so i can later put in axles. And rolled the car out of the garage. Bam. The drivers wheel fell off. The bearing had come into 2 pieces. The other side dosnt look like any damage but i dont know yet. its dark and the car is stuck out there. I swear I have moved around many cars without the axles in. I dont know what went wrong here. Oh well need a new wheel bearing and a backing plate. But if anybody has any insight is greatly appreciated. They were both SKF bearings I believe. 1 from eeuroparts and the other my father got though his company. Got ripped off becuase it cost 90$ but could it be a differently constructed bearing?
