Your 91 has the larger pinion bearing and is more durable. If you change the fluid annually, IMO you can drive it hard so long as you keep the revs up. The stress on the pinion bearing is most under full boost in higher gears at lower rpm's. At higher RPM's torque drops a bit and you will be safer. Downshift when you want to goose it to keep the revs above 4k.
No power shifting allowed.
Over 325k on my old 90 900t on original trans.
