Greg - Which connector did you break? If you broke the fuel delivery line vice the return line, you are in a deep one I'm afraid. The only way to do the job RIGHT is to replace the fuel line with an already attached connector. Now - I unfortunately know this as I did exactly the same damn thing you did when I was removing my fuel pump from my '94 Convertible.
A few things you need to know - You cannot purchase just a new connector for the fuel line as the ones made today will not fit your car's older fuel line. What I did (and yes, I'm a geeky mechanical engineer) is I took the new connector that comes with the OEM Fuel Pump (this is for the return line) and pulled off the very tip of the connector and replaced it with the tip of the old connector I broke. I then was able to heat up the very end of the fuel line - i.e. read %!#%! dangerous as you are doing this near a fuel tank!! and was able to slip enough of the new connector into the fuel line with a banjo clip to secure the line. It has lasted a year with no leaking - BUT - I would not recommend this process if you have the $$ to pay a shop to do it right.
Good luck, and please don't blow yourself up. Regards, David
