Quick and dirty - solder together some 3/4" copper pipe to connect the hose ends and get rid of the valve. There is no difference between the -91 (older) and 92-93 (later) heating systems EXCEPT that poorly conceived valve. The proper solution is to get a set of -91 heater hoses and install them. It heats up just fine and will not freeze you when engine speed drops to idle like it does now. I did this conversion on all 3 '92s I had. My '91 that I have now has the proper hoses already.
