Thanks all for the advice. The above tricks I added worked. It passed on both the 15 and 25 mph test. yeeeehaaaaa!
John K-. Ca smogg test II is a bummer now. They test everything. I tuned car up before I did all this. new plugs, cap, rotor, oil. I dumped techron in and ran car for a full tank and drained oil. I also ran some emmission junk out of a bottle as well. These damn cars just run lean as hell at the low end.
In the end it was me adjusting the amm down to 280, dumping high octane gas in and putting a temp switch that was making the fans come on way to late that made me fail the first time. Once I changed these, plus I increased pressure in front times to 50, it passed. Not bad for a car with 200,000 miles on it.
Time to put all the mods back on. The car runs great now around town, but is a dog whenever I get on it.
