It has to be the quarter panel drains. I saw your post the other day and you probably looked at these but look again. Take the rubber peices off (3 on each side)and run water along the rear quarter windows to flush that area out real well.

That tray in the trunk that the top folds into when down is meant to catch very little water. In my experience, the top is usually not the culprit with leaking in a convertible...unless there are significant holes or wear spots. The exception to this is the rear window....If that flap of canvas becomes loose it will allow water to seep into that rear shelf you are talking about.

Other than what I have mentioned....check door drains and air inlet box under hood for obstructions to drainage. Again...these things have always been the problem when I have been tracking leaks in my cars.....and that is quite a few times.

Hope you find it....it can be maddening.
