That was my gut feeling as well, who am I to question Robert Bentley? So I connected my heater hoses as the Bentley manual instructed to do so. I have heat, but at full blast it is not nearly as warm in the cabin as it used to be. The heater control seems easier to turn than it used to as well. Seems to easy, it used to be pretty stiff, which may have been a sign of things to come, but I had no experience with the Saab controls, so I assumed it was normal. Obviously the valve is still controlling the water flow direction, but I suspect not opening all the way when set to full heat in the red zone. New valve is 109.00, ouch!, so I'll first remove the heater valve and core, check out the valve and have the core cleaned at a radiator shop. Any other suggestions?
