.....It happens. Now if you live in Seattle, then rare means rare and I stand corrected. If you live anywhere else, rarely will be multiplied by a factor for someone in Seattle, as it is frequently wet. Mine rarely leaks too, or it would be rusted out. Let's compromise Prodigal. The problem is that rare means it can happen. If he livied in Arizona it would be a no brainer.
My problem is that whoever owned the car before me closed the doors by pushing the door's window. My window chanels on the pasenger side are warped. This is not uncommon. It allows rain to get in during bad down pours.
My suggestion JLJ; if you are hot on the car, take it to a touchless carwash and see if it leaks badly while you are sitting inside. Pay special attention to the floors feeling wet after 2 car washes.
Yes, I know many people frown on washing convertible tops, but 2 washes to determine spending several thousand dollars is a worthwhile investment IMHO.
