there ARE different fuel management systems between the two years. 88 SPG has LH2.2, and 91 has LH2.4 but if you keep the wiring harness with the 91, it should be ok, as long as you keep the AMM and AIC from the 91, like someone else said. Also, the plug for the hall effect is different on the 91, unless its a later 88, a friend of mine has an 88spg, and the plug is different on his car than it is on my 91. so, maybe keep the distributor from the 91 as well. other than that, I believe its a pretty straightforward swap. if I'm wrong on any of this, please, someone correct me, but as far as I know, thats pretty much it.
