I recently won an auction on eBay for an 87 Turbo coupe. Ad was poorly written with pictures finally posted on last day. Claimed to have 140k miles with a bad transmission, kept here in NJ near Lincoln & Holland tunnels. Bidding was at $200, until the last minute when I got in my bid for $365. Owner has a 0 rating. Anyway , I contact him to finish the deal, no word for 4 days. Finally get an email back. "Sorry, the car was stored at my friend's house in Wayne, and it is now under 5 feet of water" We had some flooding in NJ recently. Somehow the car floated 40 miles from "near Lincoln Tunnel" to Wayne.
Should I call his bluff?
Say that I want it anyway, and we can negotiate price?
Could it be that he didn't like the end price, and got the car to the flood to collect insurance?
Should I leave negative feedback? or no feedback?

Why does everyone in NJ want a fortune for their old Saabs. I keep hearing about you other guys picking up a turbo for $200, or getting them free, or giving them away, but not in NJ!
