I am trying to figure out why the car shudder and shakes after switching into 2nd and 3rd and accelerating. It does it in the higher gears as well but not as noticble. I made an earlier post about this and got some inner driver responses. I didnt make it clear enough that the tranny I put in this car was in my older car and it drove beautifully. the tranny is in great shape and I would bet my life that the drivers are good too. Unless sitting on my garage floor did something to them. I am very confident that the drivers are superb. I resurfaced the flywheel but I dont think I got anything balanced as I think I was told i didnt need too. The front end on this car is all new. I also got an alignment and changed the wheels and rims with no change. Hes my other post about it.
Just rebuilt the engine and the front end. Upper control arm bushings, sway bar ends, inner sway bar bushings, shocks, ball joints, tie rods, new axels, good tranny drivers, new PS rack (thats not working though), front motor mount, good drivers mount, pass mount is questionable. I put different wheels and rims with no change. The car (engine?) vibrates hard on acceleration in the beginings of 2nd and 3rd, the faster it goes into the rpms it seems as if it is not as noticible. it can do it in 4th and 5th at times but not as bad. 1st is smooth. When going up hills/mountain it is more noticble under the loads. It seems as if the motor could be vibrating hard or something but im not an expert. The exhaust needs a little tweaking in the rear and this seems like its comming from the motor and or the front end. It has new bearings too. Could they have been damaged in installation? Thanks
