1987 900 turbo - thanks to my attempt to again fix the hall sensor to the side of the distributor I broke the black wire. No start - no tach needle bounce. The wire is now fixed (sort of - not a repair to be proud of, that's for sure) in place without removing the Hall sensor or distributor but it appears necessary to take off the distributor to put the rotor pin back - otherwise it is just going to fall out as I complete the assembly. Could this be true? Had I known I would have removed it in the first place - it would have been a lot easier to fix that wire with the Hall sensor out. I also don't really like the way the plastic part sits - that too seems like it would be easier with the distributor out.
