It's mounted on the crankshaft...down under. Intermittant no start...took it to "the best" foreign specialist in town. Ran a $150 computer diagnostic test and could find nothing wrong. I told them to put in a new fuel pump...course it's an 89...To be Walbro or not to be...cost of $350 with labor. 2 weeks later intermittant no start...back to first base. Called an ole mechanic in another state, who fixed while I was on vacation, a throttle position sensor wire from a donor car...cheap fix-problem solved. After mentioning the symptoms, he told me to take the car in to "the best" and tell them to "replace the ignition coil with amplifier, the hall sensor, and be done with it". It was....course it's an 89...more dissapointment...midway through the job, it needed a special aperature ring. Ah..it's time for a beer..case ah Dortmunder please, DAB. Might as well replace the seals and harmonic balancer while your there...Any ideas on how much THAT costs!
