Black smoke when turbo kicks in.

Just drive the car (91 900TC) to Louisiana and back. About a 900 mile drive. On the way back, I noticed that when I when the turbo needle got about 75% up into the yellow, car would start lurching and running really bad. Noticed also getting bellows of black smoke out the tail pipe. The car does seem to get full boost, but it really begins to run horribly, until I lay off the gas and the turbo backs off. Then its fine.
Idles fine. Can rev it up all day in the driveway with no smoke. Only it seems with the turbo engaged does it act up.
I have (all 2 weeks old or less) installed:
New AMM
New O2 Sensor
New AIC Valve
New FPR
All the vacuum lines are new, save the charcoal canister one. Any ideas? BTW, was a nice trip there and back with the top down!
