Laying a bead of "Ultra Black" (from NAPA) along the bottom of my windshield and about 3" up each side under the rubber sealing strip, and it successfully stopped my leaking windshield. Four hands worked well, with one pair opening the rubber seal area with a putty knife while the other pair applied a 1/8"-1/4" or so bead along under the rubber. Then pressing the rubber seal into place, and cleaning any residue with razor blade and "Brake-Kleen".
Yes - it can be done, and good luck!
