First of all; my thanks to Jeff on the ignition issue. The gear mechanism on the bottom og the tumbler is in fact broken.

Now to the car running issue. The colling fans do not come on and the car will over heat. When it first overheated I let it idle while I opened the hood. One fan was running then. I then turned the car off. The other fan came on for about 2 or 3 seconds then they both shut off. I let the car cool off, drove it back home and it was starting to overheat again (I had refilled it with coolant). This time neither of the fans were running either while idling or after having shut the car off. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
