Coolant Leak

I was getting a coolant leak that I think I traced to one of the two heater hoses as they enter into the block. The trouble tracing this was that I would have to let the car sit for hours and then there would be a small puddle under the car in the morning. Since I didn't want to keep losing coolant, I would unscrew the coolant resevior cap to release the pressure and then tighten it again.....no leaks.
This past weekend, I changed all hoses, replaced the thermostat with a Wahler 82C, drained the block, and flushed the radiator. Coolant used was MB coolant mixed with distiled water...just slightly more than 50% coolant. I checked for leaks several times and none were found, so no need to release the pressure with the resevior cap anymore.....until this morning when there was a puddle under the car again. The clamps are tight, but not so tight as to puncture any rubber. I bleed the system with the valve near the thermostat. The temperature gauge fluctuates between 1/3 and 1/2 up the scale....right where it should be.
The only other modification made was a few years ago when I switched the black resevior cap with a yellow cap, but the leaks are only recent.
What is causing this? The puddle is not under the water pump. What did I forget to do? Now I'm back to releasing the pressure with the cap again.
Help!
