You posted a message to my horn question earlier! Thanks! I think I know what the deal is. Maybe the bearings are bad that are in the steering column. What do you think? Maybe thats why there is no ground in my steering shaft, but there is in the steering column. I remember here a few weeks ago, I noticed about a 1/2 inch of play in my steering wheel, you could pull or push it about 1/2 an inch. It was loose at the upper u-joint, so I pushed the steering wheel down as far as it would go and tightened the bolt. I wonder if that play has something to do with the bearings. Even though there was play, the contact brush still made good flush contact with the slip ring, whether pulled up or pushed all the way down. I think we might be onto something here. What do you think? Where would I get a new bearing for the steering column or would I have to get a new column or atleast a good used one?
