No you should just check them carefully.
I do that at any oil change on the 900 model.
It takes 10 sec when the car is up in the air to check the inside opposite of the weld and use a screwdriver to scratch back and forth of the suspect area.
If it is a crack it shows up as a fine line when you have scratched the screwdriver back and forth.
The way they crack is that it starts in the center of the arm and work its way out to the edge. This is a process that takes many years so it is plenty of time to catch the beginning and even monitor it if the customer wants to stretch their money as far as possible (not what I recommend though).
When the crack is first visible it is about 30-40% cracked. When it reaches about 90% it is no saying when and where the arm will fail.
