How much boost are you getting when the car feels slow? What is the boost gauge doing? When the car is cold, it isn't a good idea to jump hard on the gas, but the boost needle should be going up to the end of white/beginning of yellow.
What do the spark plugs look like? I wonder if the engine is running either very lean or very rich because of a bad AMM, and that is causing it to run poorly when cold. The plugs live in the engine and tell all. Another possiblity is that the engine temp sensor (not the same as the temp sensor for the gauge) is bad, and the ECU is assuming the wrong engine temps. This can also cause incorrect mixture and poor acceleration.
