I did a head gasket job 2 months ago and changed the timing chain before putting the head back on, unfortunately didn’t clamp the chain link strongly enough since a month ago while driving I heard a noise from the engine compartment and the car stopped dead, after many days of troubleshooting I found out the chain had come undone, now through great help from swedcar I figured out that the intake and exhuast valves for cylinder #2 are shot and the rest don't look great, I have the original head in storage but from great advice from swedcar it seems the best course(excluding a machine shop since can not afford to spend anymore specially with perfectly good valves on hand) is a valve job.
But since I have never done a valve job and need to get the car on road ASAP(my landlord is complaining of my car occuping a spot on the driveway)
a detailed procedure for the 16 valve preferably with instruction on operation of valve compressor.
""You can use the valves from the NG900 94 non turbo spare head. But you need to take a crash course in how to use a valve compressor and get the valve keepers out of their groove to disassembly the valves and springs. You also need to lap the spare valves to the seat to make sure they make good contact."" fron swedcar today
I am very mechanically inclined(mechanical engineer by training, test engineer by occupation), I am fairly confident that I can adapt quickly, and will do in depth net search on my own, but through experince have learned a great many thing from this board and know people using this board have experince as well knowledge og information wherabouts, so please give a hand so I can get the little troublemaker back on the road,
Appriciate all help
