Decided to replace the shocks. The front driver's side wasn't bad at all, but the rear driver's side was impossible. We cut the top off and disengaged the trailing link or whatever it was called, so there was no load on the shock, which was confirmed by being able to wiggle it around. The nut on the lower bolt came off with a little convincing, however the bolt would not come out. There wasn't much to use for leverage tried 100 different things and the most we could get was about 1/8 inch out. After about 2 or so hours it finally came out. We used a nail puller for leverage against the A arm as I wiggled the bolt back and forth with vise grips.
We are doing the passengers side shocks tomorrow, is there any easier way to get the lower bolt out?
Thanks
