I would start with getting an inexpensive test light from an auto store and check for voltage at each tail light connector. If you have voltage at each tail light it could be either bad bulbs or bad ground from tail light to car body.
The tail lights on your car have a history of deteriorating ground connections in each tail light harness connector and the fix is to install an extra ground wire right onto the circuit board and run the wire to car body.
If you have no voltage at each tail light you need to back track the wire loom and find where the breach is. Probably find the branch where the third brake light take off on it's own.
