Get a really big screwdriver. Make sure the car is in neutral. Find the starter down in there, under the intake plenum. Now remove the electrical plug on the solenoid. It just pulls right off. Be careful to not touch the big red terminal on the solenoid as that goes straight to the battey. You'll get shocked if you mess up. Use the big screwdriver to touch both the big red terminal to the little terminal that you uncovered by pulling the plug off. This can bypass a number of problems in the starting system (bad ignition switch, faulty wiring, low voltage to solenoid, etc). This should engage the solenoid and the starter. I've done this numerous times. If you try this, let me know how it works out.
