I'm curious. What would be the purpose of removing the back seats? It's such a cavernous space, I would think you'd need to put something there. Maybe a couple of honkin' big subwoofers.

I use my 85 to pull my racing motorcycles. Most of my gear goes inside for transport, and then stored outside at the track so I can sllep. Removing the rear seat cushion gave me a few inches extra room but no support for the rear seat back. As a solution, I made cardboard templates of the floor area (a left and right split down the middle front to back). I used 3/8 plywood for a new seamless floor and built a bulkhead right behind the front seats. The modifications gave me more flexibility behind the front seats, a smooth surface for pushing around toolboxes and support above the folded seatback. All for under $40.

How do you like the seats? Any hassles with the install? Think they'll be comfy on long hauls? I'm looking for new ones for my 90 turbo.
