The gear lever broke off just above the ball on the bottom. How do I get that off? I got the round plate off that is held in place with three star/torx bolts. I can see where it attaches to a plastic piece below that has some sort of clip going through it. Is it as simple as putting it in neutral? We didn't do that.
We took the console off to make the work easier. Wow was it dirty in there!
