Got my CEL codes; now what?

I pulled the codes off a 1991 900s tongiht. Very easy to rig up the "lead jumper". I even found an old on/off switch lying around.
First question I have is: com After the code "00000" flashes and I want to clear the memory, do I simply turn off the car when it is repeating the "0000" code? Did this and when I turn it back on and turn my switch to "on" when the engine lights appears, I didn't get the "three flashes" the bentely mentions, it restarted the fault code sequence/read-out.
Secondly here are the codes: 12223, 12111,12241
All seem to do air/fuel oxygen sensing. There was a loose hose located by the throttle body that feeds to the top of valve cover gasket. Clamped it.
I couldn't really get to the 02 sensor (horridly located on non-turbos), nor did I have a voltage meter to test it. There does seem to be some oil/crude on sensor, wires look a little shotty.
Valve cover gasket seems to be leaking if this would have anything to do with it. As well, the gasket where the above mentioned hose meets the valve cover simply pops in and out of it's housing, is this normal?
Thanks again for your help.
Bryce
