but I have a garage full of parts for Saabs. If I were you, I would ask myself which of the 2 am I most able to do my own repairs, as they both seem like they will require them soon. Also, is there a good Ford Tempo BB that can give you the wealth of information that youcan find here to help diagnose & fix even the most major repairs.
keep in mind, that the Saab has 132,000 mile head start, and that I would rate them as equals (only in terms of needing possible repairs). That says a lot for Saabs.
I also hope your situation improves, so you don't have to make thes kinds of decisions. Good luck!
Saabs have held me over for the past 5 years of being financially strapped. Thankfully, things have turned around for the better. So much so, that my new boss just bought me a 2006 Impala SS, to free my weekends as a Saab mechanic. I actually show up to work on Monday mornings with clean fingernails!
