Exhaust etc. Posted by Devin [Email] (#2469) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Devin) on Thu, 8 Sep 2005 21:31:30 In Reply to: need help with three topics, bdorgle, Thu, 8 Sep 2005 19:05:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Muffler et al. is a lot easier than you think. And you can save significant money by buying it, or, better yet, the entire exhaust -- cat. back, from a site sponsor. You need to put the car on ramps and get under there with a grinder, or even a dremel tool. Dirty, and not much fun, but worth the money for me at least. I'm a grad. student. Remember to buy new clamps, hangers and hardware and to use anti-seize and to pre-tension everything so it hangs nice.
Haven't done an H20 pump. Suspect you want to spend the money on the good part. The cheaper ones leak, at least on the VW I used to have. Then you have to do the job again.
Good luck!
