Be careful swapping gears between years

The cut angle is different between some years and the howl when driving is terrible if you get the wrong one in there (guess how I know).

You can take different gears and "roll" them over their matching counterpart and feel if the cut angle is correct.

But you need to have a matching set and a unmatching set to get the feel for "good or bad rolling".

The unmatching ones kind of wiggle their way over the other gear. The problem is that they are still the same size so you can actually get them in there and close up the transmission and not know until you test drive the car.
