Cannot help you on what to buy other than to say that a lot of aftermarket parts are often cheap and nasty imitations of what we really need... I have an MGB...lots of Chinese parts out there that just don't fit right or last. Our Saabs are going to go the same way as the market for parts evolves, (??devolves?).
Anyhow...just did this job on my 85 and it can all be done from above once the AC is all out of the way, (my car no longer even has AC...took it out). If you remove the 3 10mm bolts that hold the outer AC pulley onto the main pulley you can JUST get a socket inside, but not a ratchet...you need to use a fixed socket bar. Lock up the engine with a jack and wheel nut wrench under the transmission hole at the front primary housing and you'll get that crank nut loose. Of course it'll be sensible to check the crank seal and oil pump area for leaks too. Your back will ache for days, but oil pump leaks are a PITA!
