I have a '97 900SE turbo with an automatic (4spd). We use it for all long trips, etc, where we want comfort and reliability. There's only a few downsides to the car besides it not being a cool classic 900: parts are genrally more expensive when it does break, its generally a little harder to fix when it does break, and the backseats do not fold flat enough to give you that cavernous trunk like the C900.

My wife drives the '97 to work, I use one of my 3 C900's to go to work.
