Greetings,
I am posting a seperate query regarding local Los Angeles area clubs, groups and or meetings.
Is there another way to find out about said meetings and clubs?
Please, let me know on or off the board about any events which I might be invited to. Thank you. I am attempting to make contact with everyone in LA that is driving around in a 900 as a daily driver. Perhaps we should organize a once a month meeting?

I did not test drive the 1993 dark green 900 3 door coupe today. Will hopefully be able to do so tomorrow. Did test the 940 volvo sedan that I mentioned earlier, also from 1993. In simple terms, I was not at all impressed. My little 91 Mazda has more gusto, prolly cause it weighs half as much as the 940.

The Classic 900 SAAB is really my favorite car. I have been looking at them for years now. As a kid I had many a friend that were driving them new in the 1980s. Black coupes or red cabriolets with black tops. Way cool. I remember a stint in Colorado at the Boulder campus in 1987 where a girl I knew had a five door., white I think. We piled in one night with her roommate, who I had a crush on, and my mate from NY. The four of us headed to Denver where we caught the great Ray Charles. The venue was a church and we had front row seating, it was amazing.
As a child we had a Porsche 356 and an Austin-Healy 3000 (mark3) and a number of other cars such as a couple of mercs and a peugeot and even a VW rabbit and that other one my mom had in the mid 1970s, the wagon version, what was it called? Plus a Karmen Ghia and a beetle. We even had one of those little french cars that were everywhere in Paris, my father had it imported to NYC and he would drive it everywhere. The one with the roll back roof and traditionally painted in black with a purple color on the doors. I cant remember now. Then later on I had the opportunity to work with Land Rover series 1 and 2 and 2a trucks. then again years later I was able to assist friends who were importing from Switzerland to the east coast. they were building overland safari rigs out of super low mileage 2A 109s. 300D crate engines with Range rover police spec transmissions and drivelines. And all the extras. Amazing stuff really. Old unused military frame spec 2As that moved like modern Rovers. Anyway, I do hope I can get this mint 900 tomorrow.

Feel free to write me off board regarding clubs, groups and gatherings on how to make the 900 engines completely bulletproof.

Cheers,
Jason
