Please allow me to get this straight. I myself might be able to get away with cleaning out the boots and replacing CV grease? I just took home a M1993 S900 with 64K from the original owners who had everything done by dealers and then slowly realized they were getting taken and sold to me for a fair enough price. i am sure they are happy.
The car will need all hoses and such replaced but the 65K 350$ inspection was done and they paid for a number of things then, last year at just over 60K.
Its a southern california car but did sit out a lot. The tripods and CVs boots need either cleaning or replacing. Will have to look for wear all round. Can I look for wear on the inner drivers without removing everything? Or should I just remove, inspect, replace or clean? Was thinking about the rebuilt kit but dont think they need it. I bet the tripods are not worn but are dirty. Bet a boot is torn. Cant wait to start looking tomorrow or most definitely saturday.
Have all records of service including recommendations and replacements and fixes.
thanks
