I'm leaving town to go to a funeral, as just in the nick of time, the city came and stickered my car for towing if I cant prove it will run.

I changed the base problem, the fuel pump, but when I was doing the plugs, cap and rotor, the cap broke off into several pieces. Without thinking, I just unplugged the wires. The problem is now, with a new cap, I cant get the car to start! I put the wires on the cap as close as I could according to the picture in the Bentley manual, yet it wont go. It sputters really briefly, like one "puh" (thats the sound it makes, lol) every second or so as im turning it over, but the sound is closer to a backfire it seems to me than a normal ignition.

Can someone please tell me how to get this timing set right? Again, I its rather urgent!
